WHO ARE WE ?
"Entreprises pour l'Environnement" is a coalition of forty leading companies operating in France united by a commitment to the environment and to sustainable development.

Our members belong to various sectors : steel, aluminium, automobile, chemicals, cements, energy, industrial gas, infrastructure, glass sectors, but also bank, insurance, utilities, transportation and communication sectors.

WHAT IS OUR CONVICTION ?

Protecting the environment is one of the major challenges of economic development in the coming years. Business must be in the forefront of the movement to combine environmental, economic and social objectives in order to show the way towards sustainable development.

WHAT ARE OUR OBJECTIVES?
The aim of the association is:

  • to develop effective approaches of environment problems,

  • to motivate companies,

  • to express their point of view on these subjects,

  • and to promote their skill and their dynamism in the field of the Sustainable Development.

EpE is not only a Learning-By-Sharing place for its members, but also give them the opportunity to establish an open dialogue with stakeholders like public authorities, environmental NGOS, trade unions, etc., in order to find together the ways and means of progress.

WHAT DO WE DO?

Through its permanent or temporary working groups, which are drawn from its member companies, EpE addresses medium and long term policy issues like:

  • Climate change,
  • Environmental economics,
  • Health and environment,
  • Environmental communication.

Exchanges of opinions and experience between its members lead to the publication of guides, books, methodologies and proposals for action ; some of them are available on this site.
